TeraPlast Group announces the closing of the transaction for the sale of the steel products division to Kingspan Group. On February 26, the shares of TeraPlast in TeraSteel Romania and Serbia, respectively Wetterbest, were transferred to Kingspan, at which point the transaction price of 373 million RON was paid.
Following the sale, TeraPlast Group shall be redimensioned and continues its activity through TeraPlast, TeraGlass, TeraPlast Recycling, TeraPlast Folii Biodegradabile and Somplast, with a strong focus on the plastics products.

BUCHAREST (Romania) January 13 (SeeNews) - Romanian plastic construction products manufacturer TeraPlast Group said on Wednesday that it received clearance from the European Commission (EC) to sell two of its steel companies to Ireland-based Kingspan Group.
The Commission s Competition Authority approved the sale of TeraSteel SA and Wetterbest to Kingspan Group on January 12, TeraPlast Group said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB.
The deal for the third company in the steel division, TeraSteel Serbia, is pending approval from the Serbian Commission for the Protection of Competition. The group estimates to receive it in mid-February. After receiving the approval from the Serbian authorities, the transaction’s initial consideration shall be determined and paid.

BUCHAREST (Romania), December 30 (SeeNews) - Romanian manufacturer of PVC pipes and fittings TeraPlast [BSE:TRP], the parent company of TeraPlast Group, said it acquired a 70% stake in local flexible packaging producer Somplast.
The acquisition is part of the TeraPlast Group’s development strategy alongside planned investments worth over 32 million euro ($39.9 million) currently being implemented, TeraPlast said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, on Tuesday.
The company financed the acquisition from the recent sale of a land plot in Brasov for 1.3 million euro, it said without elaborating.

BUCHAREST (Romania) December 29 (SeeNews) - Romanian construction materials manufacturer TeraPlast Group will receive 4.9 million euro in state aid to co-finance a 10 million euro ($12.21 million) investment in a new factory for polyethylene systems for water, irrigation and natural gas, it said.
The project for the construction of a new factory at TeraPlast industrial park in Saratel, Bistrita-Nasaud county, is expected to be completed in February 2022 and will create 80 new jobs, TeraPlast Group said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, on Monday.
