Montgomery Democratic voters to select nominee for House District 78

Democratic voters in north and west Montgomery head to the polls today to select a candidate for Alabama House District 78.
The seat became vacant after former Rep. Kirk Hatcher, D-Montgomery, won election to the Alabama Senate in March.
Kenyatte Hassell, urban director for Young Life, a nonprofit;
Roderick Thornton, a business owner;
Don Williams, a retired HR director.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.
If no candidate gets a majority of votes, the top two vote-getters will go to a runoff for the Democratic nomination on June 22.
