Our Reporter Dimapur, July 30 (EMN): Leader of Naga People’s Front (NPF) legislature party, Kuzholuzo Nienu, on Saturday maintained that the party stands firm in its commitment for an early solution and not election. While congratulating the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for their alliance, Nienu affirmed that “in case an election is imposed and held, the pressing need for an early solution will continue.” Neinu added that NPF will ‘stand committed and even after election, a similar form of all-party government may have to continue, which NPF will pursue’. Dimapur, June 29 (EMN): The Tenyimi Union Dimapur (TUD) has resolved not to participate in any programme organised by the Nagaland People’s Action Committee (NPAC) and appealed to all right-thinking citizens to refrain from participating in any events that may be detrimental to peace and tranquility. It came a week after various civil society organisations and tribal councils resolved at consultative meeting convened by the Nagaland GBs’ Federation (NGBF), to constitute an action committee under the nomenclature of NPAC to carry out the voice of the people till they get the desired result; and to ask the apex tribal hohos to officially delegate one representative each to be a member of the committee.
