Our Correspondent Kohima, May 27 (EMN): The President of Ura Academy, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu on Friday said that a living language should keep developing, adding that Tenyidie is one of such language, while urging the fraternity of Ura Academy to strategise on how Tenyidie speakers could expand. He was addressing the valedictory function of 52nd seminar of Ura Academy (premier institution of Tenyidie language) at Ura Academy Hall in Kohima on May 27. Dr. Lieizietsu said that Tenyidie literature board has now achieved a milestone of 83 years and after rechristening it to Ura Academy, it had completed 51 years, while it has been 25 years since the introduction of Tenyidie into Nagaland University. He stated that over 220 students have completed MA Tenyidie and 5 scholars have completed their PhD degree till date, while expressing confidence that annually, it would produce doctorates in Tenyidie. We must document them. Research evidence indicates too many edible food items in our land. But unless we know the language, all these food resources cannot be used and we will remain poor in the midst of our richness.
