Williamson district s decision to hold students harmless on exams comes late for teachers Kerri Bartlett, Nashville Tennessean © Shelley Mays / The Tennessean Jason Golden first started with Williamson County Schools in 2006. Now he s taking on the role of superintendent. On the eve of the last day of exams, the Williamson County Board of Education affirmed the superintendent s proposal to hold students harmless for end-of-semester examinations. Golden explained that if exam scores improve a student s grade, a teacher may factor in that score. However, if a score does not benefit the student, the exam grade will not be counted. Most board members praised Golden for introducing the new plan at a work session on Thursday.
