Vivienne and Bryan were married 52 years and have three children and five grandchildren. In his final weeks at the rest home, Bryan would have visits from up to five different people a day, who the family didn t even know were going to see him. Boyd said the nurses commented on the numbers and said he may be getting tired. “I said ‘to be honest if he does die of tiredness from too many visitors, he’ll be OK with that’,” he said. “He really enjoyed the people, he really appreciated the people.” Bryan’s history of volunteering in the community dated back 70 years.
