Foxconn s FIT Hon Teng s board has approved a $400m investment in Telangana, adding to its earlier commitment of $150m in the state. The move comes as part of the Taiwan-based technology contract manufacturer s expansion plans in India, which range from semiconductors to electric vehicles. Last week, the company signed an agreement to build a manufacturing facility for electronic components at an allotted site in Tamil Nadu, after announcing only a day earlier it would invest $600m in two manufacturing ventures in Karnataka.
