GARDNER Officials with the Gardner Emergency Housing Mission (GEHM) are calling on residents to hit the lanes and help them strike down homelessness in the community.
The organization, which operates an apartment in the city for families to live in temporarily while they search for permanent housing, will hold a bowl-a-thon at Gardner Ten Pins on Sunday, April 25.
“I think it’s going to be a lot of fun because bowling is so family oriented,” said organizer Mary Tourigny. “Bowling is just something that everybody enjoys doing. It’s an easy sport, you don’t need a lot of skill, and you can always put up those gutter rails.”
