Ten Foot Naked is a package-free grocery shop that also offers a home delivery service. It is the tenth retailer to open at Kingland Crescent, a new development of local independent businesses along a revamped stretch of town centre leading from the Dolphin Shopping Centre. Dan Pink, director of Ten Foot Naked, said: “A large amount of food wastage comes down to consumers being forced to purchase a larger amount than they actually need. Therefore, we wanted to offer a new method of shopping to help people reduce their waste. “After recently quitting my job as a police community support officer to start the business, I was delighted to receive the opportunity to open up a shop in Poole.
FIVE new retailers are set to open in Poole town centre once lockdown restrictions are eased – as part of ongoing plans to breath new life into the high street. The independent businesses, which form part of the new Kingland shopping district, got the keys to their new units last week. They include the perfume shop, ånd Fragrance, the Pen Gallery of contemporary art, the Paintshop Studio – a creative design studio – and a zero waste grocery shop called Ten Foot Naked. The five shops are completed by Viper Gin, a Dorset-based gin company. Three retailers, HUX Custom Surfboards, Grounded Coffee and Greenslade Fishmonger moved into units at Kingland last year.
