Jamie Saltman and his wife spend their summers in Sweden, Maine, as directors of Camp Encore-Coda, a residential summer music camp. In the winter, their office is in their South Brookline home.
Encore-Coda provides an instructive oasis for young musicians, who achieve social development while enjoying summer camp fun within a rustic setting. The noncompetitive and supportive musical community includes the music faculty as well.
The camp was created by Saltman s parents, Ruth and Phil, in 1950. But this year, that legacy was interrupted.
