TEMPLE, TX â On Dec 21. 2019, Scottish cyclist Josh Quigley was just miles away from finishing his goal of cycling around the world. In a tragic turn however, Quigley was struck by a car going 70 mph on HWY 36 in Temple, TX. Ten broken ribs, broken heel bone, broken ankle, fracture on my pelvic, I ve got a broken artery in my brain shared Quigley after the accident.
However, less than a year later and he s out breaking world records.
âIts 516 miles around The Highland, itâs an incredibly beautiful part of the world, but itâs challenging for cycling with a lot of hills and mountains to climbâ detailed Quigley, describing the North Coast 500, a race with a previous finish line record of 31.5 hours; a record, that s history now after Quigley took it on.
