An Eastern Cape police officer died in a hail of bullets outside his home when unknown gunmen opened fire at the weekend. On Tuesday, police spokesperson Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana confirmed that Sergeant Viwe Mamba, 45, was killed on Saturday at about 8pm. The incident happened in the Colosa administrative area near Dutywa while he was returning home from standby duties.
