Phone tracker blows cover of thieves A four-member phone snatching syndicate has been picked up in Ashaiman by the Tema police on April 21, 2021, after they snatched an iPhone 12 Pro from a victim at Adentan. The phone was snatched from the victim who sat at the rear of the vehicle he was travelling on from Adentan to Ashaiman. While the victim was busy chatting on the phone, the suspects allegedly appeared from his blind side and grasped the phone. Briefing a section of the media at the Tema Regional Police Command, Chief Inspector Stella Dede Dzakpasu, Acting Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the Command, narrated that luck, however, ran out for the suspects when the owner tracked the phone to their hideout in a rented apartment at Misisokope at Lebanon Zone 4, Ashaiman, where he met two of the suspects and informed the police.

Zenu Atadeka jail break, seven escapees re-arrested, police hunt for 5 others

705 Seven inmates who escaped from the Zenu Atadeka Police Cells in the Tema Regional Police Command have been re-arrested by the police. Three of the cell breakers were grabbed on the day of the incident, Sunday, April 4, 2021, at their hideout at Kubekrom Number Two while the others were grabbed in separate operations in Juapong on April 6, 2021. The seventh suspect, Sumaila Karim, 21 surrendered himself to the police on April 8, 2021. The Acting Public Relations Officer of the Tema Regional Police Command, Chief Inspector Stella Dede Dzakpasu said six escapees have been dragged before the Ashaiman Circuit Court where they were convicted on their own plea on charges related to their escape from lawful custody.

Resolve land disputes for development -Tema Police entreat chiefs

705 The Tema Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Barima Tweneboah Sasraku II, has entreated chiefs to endeavour to resolve land disputes in the region. He said disputes over land had become a major source of conflict in the area, which the commander said was undermining the development of the region. Barima Sasraku, who is the Chief of Jukwa-Mfuom and Adontenhene of the Abuakwa Nifa Division of Denkyira in the Central Region, said it was important for chiefs to use their time-tested traditional conflict resolution mechanisms to end all unresolved conflicts to pave way for continued development. Tema police investigate alleged lynching of a middle aged man

Graphic Online BY: Benjamin Xornam 30.5k Shares 705 Police in the Tema Region have started investigations into the death of a 36-year old man identified as Abdullah Gado alias ten years who is suspected to have been lynched by a mob.  The deceased was allegedly lynched after his body was found dead in front of Ashaman Pentecost Church in Tema Newtown at about 7:30 on Sunday, December 27, 2020. The body was lying in supine position with multiple wounds on his body, swellings on the his right elbow with a dead ash male cat beside him when a team of police officers arrived at the scene.
