Popular Tamil and Telugu actor Sarath Babu died in Hyderabad on Monday morning. He was undergoing treatment at the AIG Hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
Born as Sathyam Babu Dixithulu in Amadalavalasa of Andhra Pradesh, Sarath Babu (stage name) entered the film Telugu film industry in 1973 as an actor and went on to work for over 200 films in a career spanning 40 years. He is known for his roles in movies like Maro Charithra, Idi Katha Kadu and others.
According to latest reports, Sarath Babu who has been suffering due to a health issue was hospitalised a few weeks ago in Bengaluru. He was treated there and has recovered after some time. As he fell ill again, he was admitted to AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad for treatment. He has been shifted from ICU to ward.
