torrey? reporter: it s a gold necklace. it has some semiprecious stones in it we re told. $2,500. she says she borrowed it. the store owner says no it wasn t borrowed. she was seen wearing it in that picture and several days after the store owner said there was a problem with the necklace. here is the problem, this is not the first time that she s been suspected of lifting something, and it s that past history that could come into play here according to legal experts. you may recall back in 2008 she was accused of stealing a $12,000 mink from a new york city nightclub. the owner of that coat ended up suing her. she didn t face any charges, and in fact none of these things she faced charges for or any penalty but there is a track record here. 2009 she was suspected of stealing $400,000 necklace from ell magazine, a photo shoot they had. she was accused of taking a $35,000 rolex last year from a friend. grand theft charges could carry three years in state prison.
