While some places have, unfortunately, closed down, the pandemic hasn t stopped some restaurant owners from moving forward. Dozens of new restaurants, bars or food businesses have opened in the last few months – and many more are on their way – in South Jersey, including several at the Shore.
What are you in the mood for? New offerings include everything from Pakistani food to fresh pasta, oysters, seafood, pizza and even bundt cakes.
In addition, a steam table behind the bar will feature roast beef, roast pork and ham, said Donohue. Otherwise, the menu is expected to remain unchanged, he said.
“Once we make settlement we will begin the upgrades immediately,” said Donohue, who estimated the conversion will be completed in six to eight weeks.
He said The Vault’s current employees are expected to remain at the tavern, which opened in 2012.
The Vault’s operator, Dean Koukoulas, did not respond to a request for comment.
Donohue’s entered the tavern business as a bartender “at the legendary Rexy’s” in Mount Ephraim during the mid-70s through early ‘80s, he observes.
