Right here in michigan we are witnessing the power of old new and creative leadership in our companies and in our cities and in our states. The alignment of these Leadership Qualities over multiple sectors has resulted in a paradigm shift of what we as michiganders believe is possible. Our nation has seen the paradigm shifts before and in 1980 our nation ushered in an era with the election of Ronald Reagan and george h. W. Bush. The power of clear and strong principled leadership infused with good well and a sense of humor that changed our nation. And across the country other states have experie
U. S. Feels about this new peace proposal from france and germany, particularly in the context of merkel coming here next week and these discussions about whether to send lethal aid. Im also wondering if you have anything on that magical piece of paper to share with us, feel free to do so. Purely administrative issues. That better not be the case. Let me say a couple of things on this. The United States has been saying for some timing that it will that its a diplomatic negotiation thats required to bring this conflict in ukraine to an end. This is not something thats going to be solved or resolved militarily but rather through diplomatic negotiations. We certainly are encouraging and supportive of ongoing efforts to try to find a peaceful diplomatic resolution to the conflict in ukraine. We know that isnt true. I liken it to physics where they tell you assume there is no gravity. And you go outside and there is gravity. This dynamic scoring will be absolutely critical moving forward on any debate invo
Its just that life has changed a lot. I dont think anybody likes war. We are theke aggressors and we are doing it when you see these people the heading our people or killing innocent people because they have a different belief in religion or something. Pretty tough. Cracks im told our time with you is running out. We havent even gotten to education. What are you most proud of . Proud. Passedble to get a bill early on my second term that said we were going to build a big landfill. I was able to get a bill passed to make that go away. I was able to work on wilderness legislation. We did good things on education. ,e had reauthorizations done things that had not been done for a long time. In the committee, a lot of democrats have thanked me for the job that i did. I think of henry hyde. I used to just love this. Wanting to change the world. I hope that i can just get out of town with a little dignity. It was chairman of the judiciary committee. I had the opportunity to go and see how wonde
