Counting of votes for the municipal polls are to be held on May 3. Because of the spike in Covid-19 cases in the state, the Telangana State Election Commission(TSEC) has banned victory processions/ rallies by candidates and parties. Partha Sarathi, the TSEC Commissioner issued an order stating "No victory procession after the counting of votes on May 3 shall be permissible.

Hyderabad, April 28 : The Telangana State Election Commission said it has made elaborate arrangements for the elections to be held in two municipal corporations and five municipalities on Friday.
Polling will also be held for the by-elections to four wards in four municipalities and one ward in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC)
