Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], May 14 (ANI): After Telanagana authorities stopped ambulances heading towards Hyderabad at the interstate borders, Andhra Pradesh Government advisor and YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Friday said the Telangana government should allow these ambulances with a humanitarian approach. It is unfortunate that the ambulances are being stopped at state borders though the Telangana High Court clarified that the state government is not supposed to stop ambulances. It is a national calamity and even the Supreme Court is inquiring into the matter. I appeal to the Telangana Government to allow ambulances with a humanitarian approach, Reddy said.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 14 (ANI): The Telangana High Court on Friday stayed the Telangana government s order to allow ambulances with patients coming from neighbouring states only if they have a prior appointment with hospitals and said the state does not have the right to stop the ambulances and everyone has the right to save their lives as per Article 21 of the Indian Constitution.
The High Court was hearing the issue of ambulances to Hyderabad being stopped at inter-state borders in Telangana.
Andhra Pradesh Government impleaded in the hearing of the petition. Andhra Pradesh Advocate General S Sriram argued on behalf of the state government. Telangana High Court Chief Justice heard the objections raised by the Andhra Pradesh Government.

The Telangana government on Tuesday announced a 10-day lockdown in the state to rein in the sudden surge in coronavirus cases. The new curbs will come into effect from Wednesday and will be in force till May 22.
However, there would be relaxation for all the activities between 6 am and 10 am, said the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office. After 10 am, only essential activities will be allowed.

YS Sharmila, the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, was forcibly moved by Telangana Police on Thursday evening, during her protest at a park in Hyderabad.
Ms Sharmila, a political entrant in Telangana and the daughter of former chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, had announced that she would announce her political party and go on a rally from July 8, her father s birth anniversary.
She had sat on the protest at Hyderabad s Indira Park, demanding that the K Chandrashekar Rao government fill 1.91 lakh vacancies for unemployed youth. She was joined by her mother and various followers from across the state. This has been a hot political issue in Telangana.
