All vehicles entering Telangana will need an e-pass, says state DGP Mahendar Reddy

Telangana Director General of Police M Mahendar Reddy on Monday said all vehicles entering the State from outside of it would be allowed only through e-pass or equivalent pass issued in the place of origin. In a statement, he, however, said ambulances carrying patients from other states would be allowed.
There were reports that hundreds of vehicles coming from Andhra Pradesh were stopped by the Telangana police on Sunday at the borders. We are allowing all types of motorists with e-passes issued by the respective States, he said in the release.

After a huge public outcry over police interrupting e-commerce deliveries, the Telangana police have agreed to let the e-commerce and app-based food delivery firms resume their services.
Following reports of police seizing a large number of vehicles belonging to the drivers and delivery boys and slapping fines on them, Telangana Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy asked the chiefs of three commissionerates to ensure seamless functioning of the e-commerce companies.

Telangana’s Bhainsa town tense after clashes

Hyderabad, March 8 : The situation in Telangana’s Bhainsa town remained tense on Monday after overnight clashes between members of two communities.
Three persons were injured and two houses were set on fire in the town of Nirmal district, about 260 km from Hyderabad.
Trouble broke after an argument between members of two communities in Zulfekar lane. The groups pelted stones on each other and some miscreants torched two houses.
Police said additional forces were deployed in the town to prevent further violence. A police officer said the situation was now under peaceful.
