Sudan witnessed various violent incidents yesterday. In South Darfur, tribal clashes have cost the lives of at least seven people while, in North Darfur, residents fell victim to an armed robbery. In South Kordofan, armed forces shot a man.
Yesterday, at least seven people were killed and about 30 others were wounded in a tribal attack on the village of El Tawil in the Saboon area of South Darfur.
Activist Abdelrahman Osman from El Tawil said that attack had been committed by members of the Rizeigat tribe and that all his family and relatives had been killed.
January 19 - 2021 EL GENEINA

The massacre in El Geneina, which started on Saturday, has now left at least 129 people dead and 198 injured. The injured include children and new-borns who are receiving care in a number of medical centres in El Geneina.
The West Darfur Doctors Committee said in a statement that, despite peace slowly returning to the town, the violence has expanded into the Murnei and Goker areas. Here, new bodies were already found, and they expect more bodies and injured people to be found in the coming days.
The committee also explained that they face a shortage of medical personnel and that blood bank stocks are slowly depleting. The two Kerending camps near El Geneina locality have been plundered, and that thousands of displaced people are now again homeless, and are short of water, food, and medicine.

On Wednesday, members of the Resistance Committee in the Dar Biri area in Kutum locality, North Darfur, organised a protest in front of the Government Secretariat in El Fasher against attacks by militant herders on farmers in the areas of Gouz Yumin, Amri, Baashim, and Basou, three days ago.
The committee handed over a memorandum demanding an end to the attacks. They also demanded disarmament of militias, police protection, and special protection during the agricultural season.
Ismail Zakaria, representative of the committee, confirmed the continuation of killings, lootings, the destruction of farms by herding groups, and the occupation of land by new settlers. He also disclosed that many gunmen are wearing military uniforms.

At least 10 people have been killed or wounded in clashes between the Fallata and the Rizeigat tribes in South Darfur in the past two days.
Witnesses from the Abu Lala area, south of the state capital Nyala, told Radio Dabanga that a clash took place on Monday, killing five and wounding three others. Several attackers have been captured. The witnesses also said that there was a second attack in the Abu Lala area at dawn on Tuesday, which resulted in a number of uncounted deaths and injuries on both sides. They added that the attack in Abu Lala led to the displacement of the local population and that the state authorities have sent a military force to the area.
