175 police officers get promotions Staff Correspondent A total of 175 superintendents of police (SPs), Addl SPs and ASPs have been promoted.  Of them, seven SPs, including DC of Tejgaon Crime Division Harun-or-Rashid, have been promoted to additional deputy inspector general (Addl DIGs) while 63 additional superintendents of police (Addl SPs) have gotten promotions to SP. Besides, 105 assistant superintendents of police (ASPs) have been promoted to Addl SPs. Three separate circulars, signed by Dhananjoy Kumar Das, deputy secretary of Public Security Division under the Home Ministry, were issued in this regard on Sunday.
