Simi Talsania, a star performer, was born and raised in Mumbai. She began dancing at the age of fifteen. Simi was deeply inspired by Meher Malik s belly dancing which she saw on the show Just Dance . Simi learned belly dance under Veronica De Simas, who ran a company called Veve for three years. Then she became a part of the crew Kohl Belly Dance Movement, which the core members of Veve founded. In those two years, Simi got the opportunity to represent India in 2014 at the Belly Dance China. During an annual event of the crew, she met Tejasvi Patil, a.k.a. Tee-J whacking on stage, and instantly became a fan. Talsania participated in Dance India Dance Season 5, where she was one of the Top 30 on the show. Terrence Lewis and his company contacted Simi for the auditions for India s first musical, Beauty and the Beast . They discovered her on the Dance India Dance show. After getting selected, she perf
