Jim Lunais Tejano ROOTS Hall of Famer and is considered by many as the top Tejano concert promoter, but it all came to a crashing halt with the COVID-19 pandemic canceling all live events over the past year and the event producer tested positive for coronavirus himself in 2020.
Luna tells
Tejano Nationhe believes he was close to death after testing positive for COVID-19. “I caught the COVID and about two and a half weeks into COVID, I caught pneumonia and it really knocked me down,” he said. “Honestly I thought I was gonna die. To be honest with you, I thought about writing my obituary, that’s how bad it was, but with a lot of faith and a lot of prayers and a lot of friends and family that gave me a lot of support I was able to beat it and here I am, going back to what I love to do.”
