Srinagar, October 28 (Scoop News)-Lt Gen ADS Aujla, GOC Chinar Corps, on behalf of all ranks, paid rich tributes today to Rifleman Kulbushan Manta who had made the supreme sacrifice on 27 Oct 2022 in a joint cordon & search operation of Indian Army and JKP in village Washran, Baramulla district. The Jt operation was launched at about on 26 oct 22.
Late Rifleman Kulbushan Manta had suffered gunshot wound and had been evacuated by helicopter to 92 Base Hospital, Srinagar. The Braveheart breathed his last at 12.30 PM on 27 Oct 22.
Late Rifleman Kulbushan Manta was twenty seven years old and had joined Army in 2014. He belonged to Village Gaunth of Kupvi (ST) Tehsil, Shimla District in Himachal Pradesh. The Braveheart is survived by his wife.

Srinagar, October 27 (Scoop News)-Based on the specific intelligence of presence of Pakistani terrorist in village Washran, Baramulla district, a joint cordon & search operation by Indian Army and JKP was launched at about 05.00 AM on 26 oct 22.
As the search commenced in the morning and while the search party was moving towards the jungle, the terrorist opened fire on the search party. In the ensuing fire fight, Rifleman Kulbushan Manta suffered gunshot wound. He was immediately evacuated to GMC Baramulla by road and further evacuated by helicopter to 92 Base Hospital, Srinagar. He suffered cardiac arrest at about 11.45 AM on 27 Oct 22 and could not be revived. The Braveheart was declared dead at 12.30 PM.
Rifleman Kulbushan Manta epitomizes the values, traditions and ethos of the Indian Army. The Brave Heart is survived by his wife, Smt Neetu Kumari. The mortal remains of the Braveheart will be sent for the last rites to his native place at Village Gaunth, Post Manjholi
