FRIENDS OF REYNA OLIVER SAY SHE LOVED LITTLE CHILDREN, WAS FULL OF JOY, AND WAS A CHRISTIAN WHO BRIGHTENED THE LIVES OF OTHERS. THE 18-YEAR-OLD WAS ADOPTED FROM GUATEMALA. SHE WAS LEARNING SPANISH SO SHE COULD RETURN TO TEACH ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE. WEDNESDAY, REYNA WAS A PASSENGER IN A CAR WITH 18-YEAR-OLD CHLOEY SCHORR. THE TWO WERE ON HIGHWAY 7 NEAR SHORT ROAD WHEN THEY LOST CONTROL, CROSSED THE CENTER LINE , AND WERE HIT BY TWO VEHICLES, A COMMERCIAL TRUCK AND THEN A JEEP. BOTH OF THEM DIED AT THE SCENE. KANSAS CITY, Mo. â Two teens were killed in a crash in Cass County Wednesday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
According to investigators, a 2001 Honda was traveling north on MO-7 near Short Road around 5:40 p.m. when it crossed the center line and swiped a southbound Jeep. The Honda then spun and was hit by a semi that was traveling south.
The two occupants of the Honda were killed in the crash.
They were identified as Reyna Oliver and Chloey Schorr, both 18 and both from Pleasant Hill.
