Valley News - Local roundup: LSK girls hockey wins first on OT game-winner

Local roundup: LSK girls hockey wins first on OT game-winner Lena Nowell Modified: 2/4/2021 2:41:39 PM HOOKSETT, N.H. Emma Leute and Lena Nowell scored their first goals of the season, with Leute’s coming 3½ minutes into overtime to give the Lebanon-Stevens-Kearsarge girls hockey team a 2-1 win over Bishop Brady-Trinity-Manchester West on Wednesday at Tri-Town Arena. The victory broke a four-game losing streak for the Raiders (1-4-0), who had the misfortune of running into NHIAA Division I juggernaut Hanover three times in the opening two weeks of the season. Nowell scored unassisted on a power play to get Lebanon started late in the second period, and the Raiders were primed for a regulation win when the BBTW (0-5-0) tied the game with 22.3 seconds remaining on the clock. Leute finished it by driving home a Claire Falcone pass from the left circle at 3:30 of the extra session. Paige Hoegler backed it up with 21 saves in the Raiders’ net.
