Good evening on a very busy tuesday night here. We begin this evening with breaking news from nasa. The pictures coming in at this hour. Nasa now reporting an unmanned rocket exploding on liftoff from virginia. These are the pictures as were on the air tonight. The rocket was supposed to deliver cargo to the International Space station. Watch here, shortly after liftoff, the explosion in the air. Its important to point out that as youre looking at this, this was unmanned, but we do want to bring in abcs chief Global Affairs correspondent martha raddatz, tracking this live in washington. By the saga of kaci hickox, the nurse forced into quarantine. Her week began in a tent outside of a hospital in newark, new jersey with no heat, no shower and a makeshift toilet. She said she was held prisoner. Governor Chris Christie said she should stop complaining. So she hired attorneys and after a few days in the tent she was allowed to go to her home in maine. Enter a new governor of maine. He decided she should be quarantined again. She went out on her bike. As of now after a court ruling she is allowed to leave her house but is subject to daily monitoring by health officials. Polls show that 80 of americans are in favor of quarantines for those who had close contact with ebola patients. Many who live in kaci hickoxs hometown feel that way also. Eric frein has been charged with multiple crimes including firstdegree murder and carries weapons of mass destruction. Anothers says that he ultimately surrendered when he was caught but hunting him over the last seven weeks, clearly not an easy task. We knew he had a handgun. We knew at the beginning he had explosive charges with him. I cant think of a more dangerous occupation than going into the woods after this individual.
