S.F.’s Super Bowl party people do their best to keep spirit going outside in small groups [San Francisco Chronicle]
Feb. 8 The Blue Light opened at noon Sunday, but Chris Lebar was there at 11 to get a table directly in front of the big screen on the sidewalk, outdoor seating being the only kind at any San Francisco bar on Super Bowl Sunday.
Because Lebar is a regular at the Union Street bar, the manager had brought out the tables early so her group could have its annual “Matzo-Off” pregame competition of tasting homemade matzo ball soups.
