Atlantic Richfield/BP said Thursday night that initial analysis suggests the Berkeley Pit could be an appropriate Superfund repository for the bulk of contaminated wastes from the Silver Bow Creek Corridor.
The Atlantic Richfield Co. and Butte-Silver Bow County have asked the EPA to build flexibility into the repository siting process as consideration continues of the Berkeley Pit.
