Ted Ciano, who passed away from heart failure in 2010, is known as the “dean of car city” as he was the first dealer on that stretch of Highway 29 in the 1950s. He owned multiple Ford dealerships over the years before starting his own small, independent operation in 2000. During the decades he saw the large dirt lots turn into a row of dealerships known in Pensacola as the place to find a new or used vehicle.
