Good Day. And a Marvelous Monday to you! Well, Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Bucs, and the K.C. Chiefs for winning their respective conference championships, and will play in this year s Super Bowl in two weeks. And Saturday night was a double winner for me, as my beloved Missouri Tigers won their basketball game beating # 6 Tennessee, and our Blues won too! I had the Blues on the TV and the Tigers on my phone. We had some beautiful weather this past weekend, as I was left alone for the next two weeks. But that didn t change what I do each day and night! I watched the St. Louis weathercast last night, and they were fretting about snow and ice for this morning there. YUCK! I m glad I m not there! For most of 2020, the world was overtaken by the COVID-19 pandemic. But on Sunday, all eyes were on Pfizer as they rolled out the first of the nation’s vaccinations.
In response to what has been called “the largest vaccination effort in American history,” WDIO spoke to people both proposed and opposed to getting the vaccine.
“It’s about time,” John Blackmer of Faribault, Minnesota said. “It’s been a long almost year now.”
Blackmer, who has a background in science, said he trusts the experts who developed the vaccine.
“Let science do its thing. This looks like it’s a good vaccine. The risk is definitely on the side of not taking it, so it makes sense for everybody to take it,” Blackmer said.
