El Paso maquila operator Tecma expands trucking reach with Santa Teresa company acquisition Vic Kolenc, El Paso Times
El Paso Mayor Dee Margo talks about proposed TJX distribution center maquiladoras, or factories, in Mexico, is expanding its reach in the trucking business.
It recently completed the acquisition of Omega Trucking, a 22-year-old company based in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, near El Paso’s West Side.
No financial details were released.
Tecma, which has been hauling raw materials and finished goods for its own factories in Juárez and other areas of Mexico, is now expanding its trucking business to serve other companies on both sides of the border with the Omega acquisition, according to a company statement.
