Kazuya Masu’s reappointment as Tokyo Tech president authorized
After completing a presidential hearing on July 20, the Tokyo Institute of Technology President Nomination Committee has authorized the reappointment of President Kazuya Masu for a second term of office based on the provisions of Article 6, paragraph 1 of the National University Corporation Tokyo Institute of Technology regulations on selection of presidential candidates and removal of president.
In accordance with the provisions of Article 6, paragraph 3 of the abovementioned regulations, the hearing result, reasons for decision, and hearing procedure are as follows.

Hearing held before potential reappointment of incumbent Tokyo Tech president
On July 6, 2021, a Tokyo Institute of Technology President Nomination Committee Meeting was held to conduct a presidential hearing with current President Kazuya Masu. The incumbent president’s term of office will end on March 31, 2022. The nomination committee confirmed Masu’s intent to run for an additional two-year term at its previous meeting on March 12, 2021.
The Tokyo Institute of Technology President Nomination Committee will announce its decision on reappointment by the end of August 2021, seven months before the completion of Masu’s first term.
