I would like to make a profound Statement Today about what 20 years needs, where we are at what point in time, internet policy we are in time now looking back over the 20 years of internet policy, the ebb and flow. Something certainly new. We are we talk of internet policy because we feel like something is happening in the next 20 years will be even more exciting than the last 20 years. That said, a lot of the issues we dealt with 20 years ago are still in play today. We are at an incredibly important Inflection Point in history when it comes to
Widening recently, and there are a number of experts now who believe it should also apply to a number of behaviors. So basically, its an experience that in the short term is very appealing that we return to over and over again obsessively or compulsively that in the long term turns out to be bad for us. It diminishes or wellbeing in some respect. And that can be financial, it can be social, it could be psychological or physical. And a lot of behaviors fall into that definition under that banner, and i think not enough of them are capture by the clinical definition at the moment. Host so is technology addictive or on the reverse side are we addicted to technology . Yeah, i think to a large extent we are. Its too broad to say were addicted to technology. Theres a lot that fits under that particular heading, but there are a lot of forms of technology that we find irresistible and that are ultimately not great for our wellbeing.
