ISLAMABAD, April 15 (Gwadar Pro) - Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that Pakistan is working with China to train its people in semiconductor technology.
He said that the future of the country depends on technology and that technology and integration of biotechnology is of utmost importance. They will work closely with China to train people in semiconductor technology.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the present government is committed to developing the technology sector. Making all possible efforts, he said the country can develop rapidly with science and technology. He also stressed the need for a national environment where policies promote technological options and the search for new ideas.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry Wednesday issued a stern warning to protesters who beat up police officers as he said that traffic is normal on all important roads across the country.
Protests by the banned TLP have caused problems for the masses in major cities across the country for the past two days and have claimed the lives of three people, including two policemen. Nearly 100 policemen have also been injured in clashes with the protesters.
In a tweet, Chaudhry said police and security institutions are the pride of the country, adding that throughout the world, those who wear the uniform are seen as symbols of the state’s honour.
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court in a 6-4 verdict dismissed Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s application through which he had urged the court to live stream proceedings of the court hearing of his review petition against the SC judgment on the presidential reference.
A 10-member larger bench, headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial, and comprising Justice Maqbool Baqar, Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik, Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel, Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed, and Justice Aminud Din Khan, on Tuesday, announced the order, which it had reserved on March 18th.
Justice Bandial, who wrote the majority order, stated that the reasons will be recorded later. The order said the right of the people to have access to information in matters of public importance under Article 19-A of the Constitution is recognised, the details and modalities of which are to be decided by the Full Court on the administrative side.

In a cabinet shuffle on Thursday, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry was appointed minister for information and broadcasting for the second time.
Chaudhry replaced Shibli Faraz who was appointed in April last year. Faraz was recently re-elected to the Senate from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to sources, he has now been given the portfolio of science and technology.
Chaudhry was first appointed the information minister in 2018 but was later replaced by Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan made multiple changes to the cabinet after the Senate elections.

Gill, terming it a great choice, said Chaudhry was a popular figure due to his political consciousness, intelligence, and people-friendly style.
Earlier, Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting chairperson Senator Faisal Javed Khan had confirmed that Chaudhry had been reappointed as the federal information minister.
