Briefing media about the decisions taken by the federal cabinet, which met in Islamabad today with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair, Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar said earlier this subsidy was available on five items only. He said sale of the Utility Stores Corporation is likely to reach 100 billion rupees this year and it is expected that USC will earn some profit as well.

In a post on social-networking website Twitter, the minister said that eliminating corrupt practices during the polls is the constitutional mandate of the election commission. There was no use of latest technology in Senate polls despite the order of Supreme Court (SC), he added.
