ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief of Air Staff Pakistan Air Force Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan Wednesday called on Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain and discussed cooperation between the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Ministry of Science and Technology in the field of technology.
The minister briefed the PAF chief about the ongoing projects in the ministry, said a news release.
The air chief appreciated the performance of the ministry under the supervision of Fawad Chaudhry.

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Shibli Faraz on Tuesday did not rule out the government’s offer of the Senate deputy chairman slot to the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) as the federal cabinet expressed its confidence of winning the upcoming elections for the two coveted offices of the upper house on March 12.
The opposition termed the offer an attempt to create cracks within the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
On Monday, a senior government representative had said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) was not announcing its candidate for the office of deputy chairman and was keeping the slot open to place itself in a better bargaining position.

Senator Barrister Muhamamd Ali Saif calls on PM
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Barrister Muhmmad Ali Saif on Wednesday joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Barrister Saif, who is due to retire as Senator on March 11, 2021 had won the seat on ticket of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM).
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain was also present in the meeting, the PM Office said.
Earlier, Sadiq Sanjrani called on Prime Minister Imran to discuss strategy for Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman elections that will be held on March 12.

The federal cabinet has approved introducing a new budget to slap taxes amounting to Rs140 billion to meet a condition of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), as the cost of tax exemptions swelled by another one-fifth to nearly Rs1.4 trillion in the current fiscal year.
The cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, approved the Income Tax Second Amendment Act 2021 after resisting the IMF demand for over a year.
