Being a doctor of ICU at Bangabandhu Memorial Hospital at USTC in Chattogram, Dr Samina Akter rendered herself in duty to save lives of hundreds of critical patients in her career as a physician but now the doctor has been fighting for life in ICU after being critically injured in a road accident yesterday.
"Around 137,000 people will die and 168,000 buildings will collapse in Chattogram city if a 7.5 to 8.5 magnitude earthquake hits the Bangladesh-Myanmar border," said Prof Md Jahangir Alam, vice chancellor of University of Science & Technology Chattogram (USTC), today.
