MEMPHIS, Texas (KFDA) - The Hall County committee is asking residents and businesses to fill out a survey to help shaping a plan to improve internet access and the speeds on the internet.
Hall County is among 27 communities selected to participate in a statewide effort led by CN Texas and funded by the Texas Rural Funders - at no cost to the County itself.

CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas - The Caldwell County Broadband Committee is working to develop a county-specific Technology Action Plan to expand broadband access in the county.
The committee, which is partnering with Connected Nation Texas (CN Texas), is made up of local stakeholders who are focused on finding solutions for improving internet connectivity countywide. Broadband connection is essential to have in a community where everyone succeed, said Michael Kamerlander, CEcD, Director Economic Development in a release. This is even more evident while we deal with the pandemic and the increased need for connectivity.

HURON COUNTY County officials are taking the early steps toward potentially expanding broadband availability in Huron County.
The Huron County Economic Development Corporation has announced a new Huron County Broadband Committee has been formed to help assess the internet access needs of county residents.
“The Huron County EDC is constantly working on ways to improve communities and business climate in the county,” said Carl Osentoski, the executive director of the Huron County EDC, in a statement. “Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen areas that could be improved on in our broadband internet in the county. Everyone is impacted by this, education, agriculture, small businesses, the list goes on.”
