February 17, 2021 University of Minnesota Professor Allison Hubel brings a wealth of academic, business, and technology experience to her new role as director of the Technological Leadership Institute. The University of Minnesota Technological Leadership Institute (TLI) is proud to announce the appointment of Professor Allison Hubel as TLI’s new director. College of Science and Engineering Dean Mos Kaveh appointed Hubel to a three-year term, making her the first woman to hold the position in the institute’s nearly 35-year history. “Professor Hubel brings a wealth of outstanding accomplishments and leadership experience as an educator, scholar and entrepreneur to TLI at a pivotal time of change and emerging opportunities for the institute,” Kaveh said. “I am extremely grateful that she has accepted this important responsibility. Who is Michael Osterholm? Osterholm is an epidemiologist and the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota. The American epidemiologist was named a member of President Joe Biden s 13-member Transition Covid-19 Advisory Board in November 2020, according to reports.
