According to Hajiji, information programmes in collaboration with the Community Development Leader Unit are being carried out to explain the vaccine s benefits to the people. I urge all quarters to be committed and register for the vaccine, he said at an engagement session with the Covid-19 Emergency Technical Management Committee at a hotel here.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo (SAN); the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha; Defense Minister, Major-General Bashir Magashi (Rtd); and the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
The new service chiefs were accompanied to the State House by their wives and other senior officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
Oji disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Abuja.
He also assured that the arrival of almost four million doses of COVID-19 vaccines in Nigeria will guarantee national immunity.
“According to the National Primary Health Care Agency (NPHCA), over two million persons have registered for the vaccines; therefore, people are willing to get immunity against the virus.
“If the health workers who are the frontliners in the fight against COVID-19 get immunised, certainly, infections and deaths will reduce,” he said.
The medical practitioner expressed hope that the spread of COVID-19 would reduce with the arrival of the vaccines.
