The center for Public Integrity reported last week that the Koch Brothers are sponsoring 10 of all ads in Competitive Senate races. Thats more than 43,900 senate ads between january 2013 and last month. Americans for prosperity alone, that Koch Brothers organization, sponsored 27,000 ads. This morning firefighters in california are battling a fastmoving wildfire that has injured three people and destroyed about a dozen buildings. The silver fire is burning about 100 miles east of los angeles. It started yesterday afternoon, then exploded. The flames were so fast area officials were trapped. Theyve been safely evacuated but more than nine square niles have been destroyed. And the fire remains out of control. That brings the total now to 14. 12 men and two women. In making that announcement today, the centers for Disease Control and prevention took the unusual step of issuing a travel advisory for the area where the virus has been transmitted by mosquitoes. David begnaud is in miami. Reporter the travel advisory is for pregnant women to stay away from the onemile area known as the zika zone. Its north of downtown miami and made up of the wynwood and edgewater communities. The c. D. C. Says pregnant women who traveled here since june 15th should be tested for zika. That is the earliest date officials think anyone was infected. Pregnant women living in the zone should be tested in the first and second trimesters.
