VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - Moody Air Force Base increased its health protection condition (HPCON) on Friday.
The base increased its HPCON to Charlie, which base officials said is because of an increase in positive COVID-19 cases at the base and in the surrounding communities.
HPCON Charlie takes effect when there is a “substantial threat of disease to the community and it allows the installation commander to direct additional measures to protect Airmen, their families, and the local community,” the base said in a release.
