Battery supplier gains 12-month extension to contract that began in 2018.
Lincad has obtained a 12-month extension to its battery supply contract from Team Leidos.
As a result, Lincad will continue providing a range of primary batteries for distribution to UK armed forces deployed around the world.
The original three-year contract with Team Leidos began in 2018. ‘After demonstrating good performance during the contract, Leidos has agreed to extend the contract until Q4 2021,’ Lincad announced on 20 January.
The company added that it has invested in its testing facilities to ensure that these batteries (mainly lithium-based) conform to strict UK standards for use in mission-critical applications.
