The first link is a case in 2005 when police say a man sexually assaulted a woman in fairfax. Dna from that case linked to dna found when investigators found the body of Morgan Harrington in a remote farm area in albemarle county, but now Virginia State police say forensic evidence from both cases goes back to Jesse Matthew. They call this a significant break. Todays shocking twist is that 20yearold Morgan Harrington and 18yearold Hannah Graham may have both encountered this man on the nights they breathed their last breaths. 32yearold Jesse Matthew is behind bars charged with abducting graham 16 days ago. This new break disintegrates hope for the grahams but could provide relief for the harringtons. 20yearold Morgan Harrington disappeared in 2009 after a concert on the uva campus. She pressed a panic alarm before he walked out of the door. He allegedly said he would be back to finish the job. The homeowner gave police a description and authorities tracked down the suspects an hour later after a car chase. They say andrew was wearing nothing but a diaper. Thats pretty strange, i guess. Reporter rich hardy has lived next to andrew and alicia schmuhl for three years. They were good neighbors. They were friendly. We would have interactions when in the yard. Reporter the victim also told detectives that alicia schmuhl was recently fired from his law firm. Were just glad theyre alive.
