Corn producers in Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa have been anxiously awaiting the reopening of the former Corn Plus ethanol plant ever since the facility was purchased by Greenfield Global in October of 2020.
The question of when the plant will reopen has now been answered.
“Greenfield Global will start to supply renewable ethanol into the North American gasoline market and high nutritional coproducts to the feed market in the fall of this year,” Robert Dekker, vice president of Communications and Public Relations for the company, commented. “We have signed an agreement with Central Farm Services (CFS) to supply the Winnebago plant, and they are ready to start buying corn immediately for fall delivery.”
