The fantastic fundraising Fraser reached an amazing £1,800 in donations for the Lakes Calvert Trust. The young man from Broughton Cross went out on a walk everyday in March in all weathers to create exposure for the activity centre s plea for help. The Lakes Calvert Trust had experienced an immensely difficult time during lockdown creating a campaign at the start of the year to bounce back in order to secure their future. Many people across the Lake District and the UK had answered the trust s plea for help and among them was 22-year-old, Fraser. Sharon Jones who is one of three personal assistants for Fraser said she came up with the idea for the fundraiser when they were out on one of their many walks, she said: Walking is Fraser s thing. We re outside all the time and we thought let s do something more and we all knew that The Calvert Trust had issued a plea for help so we decided to start a fundraiser and it took off from there.
