With the limited availability of face-to-face teaching, and the ‘new norm’ arising from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, regional policy-makers are being urged to include teaching and learning in an online environment as a curriculum requirement for teacher training institutions, so as to enhance the professional development of teachers in a rapidly changing environment.
The call was made by The UWI Open Campus Principal and Pro Vice Chancellor of Global Affairs, Dr Luz Longsworth, at a webinar last Wednesday jointly sponsored by the Hugh Shearer Labour Studies Institute and the TEACHGood/LEARNGood Foundation.
