linda? tell me about the most challenging manual labor job you ever held and what it taught you about life. j.d. vance: that s a good. martha: that s a teacher question. thank you, linda. j.d. vance: ththat s a very good question. so, right after i graduated from college, actually, i worked at a tile distributer. and if you know floor tile is really, really heavy and probably thats what the most challenging manual labor job i have had though i have had a couple manual labor jobs in my life. what did it teach me? i guess what it taught me is that, look, you know, i went to college, i went to law school. i m running for the united states senate. a lot of people that i talk to assume that people who work in manual labor jobs aren t that smart and they are just wrong. okay? that s one of the things that i learned. is that figuring out how to load 17 different types of floor tile on the same exact pallet requires a lot of smarts. okay? [laughter] you got to be brawny but you got
